Unfortunately, we won't be spending our year anniversary together next month because he'll still be away on his trip.

Me & my boyfriend went hiking at Poli Poli yesterday & for our "picnic" I had brought Sage-mushroom linguine, rice-bacon, dried plums and an untouched cucumber for dessert.
Then we headed to Savers to check out randomosities and later proceeded to read Batman comics and cuddle at home.

Aww I forgot my flowers in his car yesterday so I hope he can preserve them so I may have my hand at drying flowers. I'm trying to keep busy this long summer; lots of home-making :) & spending time with lovely people.

Today, I am lonely, bored- tired
& I just want to watch adventure time
all day with tea and desserts

>.> wonder if my Franky will eat bananas..
After finals, I'll feel less guilty and start spending more time with my pets.
"Ils se marièrent et eurent beaucoup d'enfants" aka "And They Lived Happily Ever After"
Also, gotta watch: Lost in Translation, Mister Freedom (the film where Charlotte Gainsbourg's parents fell in love), Melancholia. I guess I'm feeling pretty nostalgic and hopelessly romantic at the moment. And to top it off, ridiculously tired- putting off studying for finals.
I took down my "cute" bedroom. That faux mentality of it was more taxing than anything XD. Decided to keep it dark & simple. Dressing up really isn't going to help fix me.
Today is Free Comic book day, according to ma' daddy (Mike Wilson). It was supposed to be May 5th but we weren't seeing each other on Saturday.
Class was cancelled - I'm pretty fucked for my zool 141 exam since I haven't been attending class & was unable to get the prep sheet. Now I'm at the library reading Batman comics; dillydallying.
The Avengers is supposedly being compared to The Dark Knight. BIG EXPECTATIONS. Can't wait to see the midnight premier with my friends. I just hope there aren't too many loud assholes talking throughout the movie -_-

The Joker <3

I don't really know why I bothered coming to school when there wasn't even a lab today.
Oh Totoro, you make me smile :P

I want to make an aquarium like this to keep me company during those lonely hours.
URGES:
MOAR ART
must learn how to hack/geohash
must go shopping
must sleep
must study in my sleep (finals next week and I've got about 9 chapters to catch up on for 3 exams).
*le fucked*

A YOUNG woman agreed to be tortured in full public view to try and end animal testing.
JENNIFER TRAIDE UNDERGOES ANIMAL TESTING IN A BID TO END THE PRACTICE. PICTURE: COURTESY OF LUSH COSMETICS. SUPPLIED
Jacqueline Traide, 24, was dragged, tied prodded, force fed and subjected to all manner of cruelty in front of hundreds of shoppers, Mail Online reports.
Jaqueline endured ten hours of injections, being smothered in different lotions, having her hair shaved and irritants being squirted into her eyes as part of a world-wide campaign by Lush and The Humane Society International.
The stunt took place in a Lush store window on London's Regent Street, one of the UK's busiest shopping precincts.
Passers-by were stunned by the display, with many stopping to take photos and record the gruesome spectacle with their phones.
The Humane Society says animals are routinely tested in this manner for make-up and perfumes.

Really sweet room I found on the internet

TADA
CLICK for my room:P
I'm in a really good mood today -have been for the past few days- which is really rare.
What I usually feel like >>
Last night, I decided to get back into my dormant lolita mode. I'm a sucker for cute things (and the macabre), so I thought trying something "new" would probably uplift my usual gloomy spirit/outlook.
Me and Roge <3 decided we'd have an album swap of our rooms & all our cute things :P but the sweet lolita habit can get pretty expensive :( and that's why we thrift and DIY <3
WHOOHOO 4TH FRIDAY IN PAIA WITH THE BOYFRIEND TOMORROW

A really memorable short my friend Prescott sent me ages ago from wimp.com
A friend o' mine has been urging me to go graffiting with him. What a coincidence?!
Lately, I've been yearning to make art, photograph & write. There's an Earth themed poetry slam tomorrow that my friends and I have pondered participating in. I'm still pretty sore that I had to miss the Earth Day festival last Sunday, since I had to work the whole day -_-
I really need more models/subjects to take experimental shoots of. Perhaps more of my favorite macro and BW shots, too.
I'm currently in the library looking through ARTnews & the latest Cosmopolitan (& blogging) instead of viewing slides of animal kidneys etc.
I'm achin' to get another tattoo SOON! Breathtaking back work :O

Jodie Carey, In the eyes of Others, 2009 - "made of thousands of plaster bones"

Claude Cahun's also another artist worth checking out. Photographed herself in various costumes back in the 20s. What the magazine describes her as being the predecessor to Lady Gaga.

Lastly, Maurizio Cattelan http://www.newshelton.com/wet/dry/?c at=57

My favorite: La Nona Ora, 1999

The Woman by Natt Smith
"I bet she felt like Sunday morning. Her lips tasting like citrus, juicy and plump, lips that he could bite into and keep inside him. Lips you don’t forget. I’m sure her laughter was contagious, feeling her pain with every whimsical chuckle. I’m sure she was broken. I think he wanted to fix her. I think she would have liked him to but the broken can’t fix the broken so instead they chose to laugh, and sleep and drink coffee and dance le Quebradita."

Yesterday...
Axel stayed til about 4:20.
We'd just been discussing the art of drinking tea (Dharma Bum inspired & which had also prompted the hangout sesh), confessions, poetry, getting fed up with feeling passionless about the way we were living, running for the mountains etc.-
basically everything that had been on our minds as we drank this [unheard of] gunpowder green tea that unraveled itself as it steeped. The second batch of tea was more diluted; less warm, too.
Lastly, we wondered about the puppy we could have saved as we imagined an explanation for why all of the neighborhood dogs were barking for almost half an hour in the wee hours of the chilly morning.
Another funny thing. I had begun to regret mentioning about this fortune-telling technique I'd read about in my mom's occult book. So Axel kept trying to "determine" what his future held in store based on the arrangement of the tea leaves at the bottom of our mugs after all the tea had been drank XD.
I slept for 3 hours before having to go to class, which I procrastinated and didn't finish my hw for. I bailed on the cat-dissecting since the prof had already demonstrated on the elmo. Plus, it just seemed like a waste of time.
Oh. The Shins concert last nite didn't go to well, since Riyadh and I had been having a fight that lasted til I got through my front door. But overall, I enjoyed being able to see the Shins perform live <3 and most of the tracks they selected:
September, Port of Morrow, 40 Mark Strasse, New Slang, Phantom Limb, Caring is Creepy, Turn on me, Simple Song
Riyadh critiqued "that they pretty much just turned up their music - they're not a very loud band- and most of their songs sounded the same...just a different tempo & different lyrics" Oh, and they didn't play with enthusiasm -_-
It seems like we're beginning to have second doubts about our relationship, as we've been fighting more than usual lately. And tomorrow marks our 10 month anni. Problems, problems are...
-the schism he has with my friends
-my poor choices
-not being (in his eyes) a very considerate girlfriend by (below)
-not constantly updating him on my plans
-not being as open with him/treating him as well as my friends (mainly Darius & Axel), therefore making him feel left out
-not asking him how his day was

I hope that today we'll be able to fix what can be fixed and just enjoy each other after class, perhaps at the beach where those tide pools with their guppies can sooth our childlike souls, kiss us tenderly and cleanse the wreckage we've built from the tests of our relationship.
I don't want to revert back to that empty girl I turned out to be because of a huge mistake.
"A wise girl kisses but doesn't love, listens but doesn't believe, and leaves before she is left."- Marilyn Monroe
